A Detailed Look at the PEAK DH3, Dwight Howard’s Third Signature Sneaker

PEAK DH3 weocia 5

Thanks to our overseas friend @weocia, we’ve got a detailed look at the PEAK DH3.

After rocking a loud ‘Murica DH3 ‘Veteran’s Day’ PE and receiving the first 3D printed basketball sneaker, Dwight Howard’s third signature is making its way to retailers overseas.

Pictured here in this triple red build, the PEAK DH3 is a modern knit sneaker that is supportive enough for a player as massive as Howard. The sneaker features PEAK’s new P-Motive system and sits atop a translucent outsole. Additionally, his signature wouldn’t be complete without a true carbon fiber shank, the Tenacity Unit.

It is still unlikely that the PEAK DH3 will arrive Stateside but the sneaker is available in three builds at Famuji Sneaker and HiBasketballShoes for $99 each.

If you’ve been playing in Howard’s latest signature share your experience in the comments below.

  1. Brilliant: love the look of them Too good looking for Dwight no doubt about it

Wondering if Melo will switch to one of the Chinese brands when his deal is up with JB

    1. I love how everyone just jumps on the Dwight-bashing train AFTER the Kobe and Lakers fail. If you wanted to hate Dwight hate him while he was cry-babying his way out of Orlando. Him, Vince and Melo are 3 players I can think of who bitched their way out of a team and then had their careers, fan base and marketing fall soon after. But at least Dwight is still helping his team get into playoffs and putting up great numbers (double-double) and still a great paint protetcor. I’d put him in the 3rd tiers maybe 2nd tier of Centres. Embid and KAT. Cousins is elite but I just can’t stand his crying and his face. The dude has a frown tattooed on his face since birth it seems.

      1. I think a lot of his criticisms are justified. He had one truly dominant year in Orlando but to me he never expanded his offensive game the way all the other elite centers have. That and he hasn’t gotten along with his teammates, The Hawks supposedly had a party when he was traded this offseason.

  2. Any performance review comin up fpr this one? I never had a pair of peaks so I’m curious how the cushioning on this feels like.

    1. Looks a lil bit like the Drive 4. I forget but either Dennis Smith Jr or Josh Jackson had a PE of the lows with a triangle design on the midsole.

      1. The vibe is likely due to the borderline perpendicular cues.

The continuous outsole profile looks promising for smooth transition. Collar looks comfy too. Peak logo on an aesthetic note is pretty weak. I usually believe this would be the case for straight-edged simple logos. You’re so limited in how you can use them and it’s never flowing. Notice how Adidas pairs typically relied on the midfoot placement for the longest time until the designers really skewed with the size and proportions of the logo.

      1. can’t wait to hoop in these with other colorways. The sock-like/knit material around the ankle area looks a tad too thin for adequate support. But we’ll have to wait and see how they perform on-court. One things for sure though, the cushioning will be more than adequate for old/heavy players like myself. Goodbye knee pain and shin splints.
