In honor of Carmelo Anthony leading the University of Syracuse to an NCAA National Championship in 2003, Jordan Brand paid homage to the former Knick and current OKC forward with the Air Jordan 9 ‘MOP Melo’.
The latest Air Jordan 9 honors former Orangeman with an embroidered number ’15’ on the heel, instead of the usual number ’23’. The sockliner features smooth scripts, metallic gold touches, and woodgrain detailing — a nod to Melo earning the Most Outstanding Player (MOP) trophy.
