adidas D Rose 7 vs adidas Crazy Explosive Quick Comparison | Quick Kicks

Welcome to the Quick Comparison Series. In it we’ll quickly compare two sets of performance shoes and determine the three biggest differences between them!

Today we are looking at the adidas D Rose 7 and the adidas Crazy Explosive, two top of the line performance basketball shoes from adidas. Both of these shoes performed great in my Quick Reviews (each of which are linked below) however there are some aspects of the shoes that I like on one model over the other. Hopefully by showing you the three biggest differences in these shoes you can quickly make a decision on which shoe will fit your game and best fulfill your needs.

If you want more information on these two shoes, check out the links to the Quick Reviews below, or check WearTesters.com for more in depth performance reviews.

  1. Good comparison review. It seems like the Roses tend to have extra toe box volume. I want to get both explosive(indoors) and Rose(outdoor). You also have a good form on your jumper.

  2. Nice Comparison, Great Job!!!!!

Hoping that space in the forefoot of the D Rose 7 gets fixed in the Primeknit version, may consider buying it, once I see the Chinese New Year colorway or any awesome colorway,

Also just waiting for the right colorway before buying the Crazy Explosive Primeknit,

If I sell some of my old shoes I will get both, BOOST!!!!! 🙂

Just a Curious question…..how many people make up Weartesters.com?? I Keep seeing new names in some of the articles coming out, just asking, Thanks!

    1. CE for me definitely. just waiting for a really awesome colorway, either wolf-grey, black/white/red combo. the launch release CE just looked too orange for my liking.

  3. Nice comparison. I feel that the Explosive is better all around, personally. I almost never play outdoors since indoor courts are available to me so the traction isn’t really a problem.

  4. If a 9 in the D7 fits me comfortably can I expect to fit into a 9 in the CE, or should I go half size down? My foot gets wider in the area of the toes.

    1. The Rose 7 definitely fit larger than the CE, so if a 9 in the D Rose 7 fits you comfortably, I would say go down a half size. The CE is a little narrow in the toe, but the primeknit helps give the front of your foot more space. Of course the best thing to do is to try them on.
