The Converse Run Star is the brand’s newest fashion-forward silhouette that, according to Nike, juxtaposes heritage running style and an exaggerated tooling.
Nike says that the Converse Run Star’s contemporary look is meant to be distorted (JW Anderson proved that in his Spring 2019 London runway shoe) and the shoe, like the brand’s best-selling Chuck Taylor, is simple. It’s designed to bring the Converse One Star back to the year 2000 and mimic the style of the early ’00s.
The Run Star features a mesh upper with leather and suede overlays, Phylon (EVA) tooling, fuse toecap with reflective details, and a TPU molded eye row. The shoe is finished with a molded jewel star on the heel.
The Converse Run Star is available now for $90 in three colorways (unisex sizing). You can scoop your pair at Nike.com.
