A Better White/Black adidas Crazy Explosive Low Colorway Surfaces

adidas crazy explosive low black white

If you’ve been tuned into WearTesters, you know the adidas Crazy Explosive Low has finally hit retailers. Now, the Internets have churned up a very handsome colorway that we hope hits shelves.

Far better than the white/black Crazy Explosive Low we had been seeing, this build splits the white and black diagonally across the shoe for dynamic effect. The black three stripes on the forefoot bring the whole look together, and it looks like the outsole may have some marbling…

No official word on if this colorway will ever release but we sure hope it does. Do you?

  1. This color blocking looks very Harden-ish imo. Is the CE supposed to be J Wall 3? If so I kinda feel bad for him, he left too soon and missed the opportunity to have the best performing shoes of the year with his name on it.

    1. Yeah, Wall really missed the boat on these. At this point whatever company gets him shouldn’t even make him a sig anymore. I don’t know if it was bad luck with designers, but all his Reeboks and Adidas were misses in both aesthetics and performance(especially the Reeboks *shudder*).

    2. Don’t feel sorry for Wall.. He is a selfish SOB and expected Harden money. It has been documented that he has a jealousy problem. When Reggie Jackson got his contact he tweeted about how Reggie be making more money than him.. Even when this teammate Beal got that extension he was envious. John Wall can “dougie” how ass to Nike and wear PE and get paid less than now than he was while with 3 stripes.

  2. NOW we are talking. Enough with the monochromatic bull, blue shoes with a blue outsole, whatever. Play with contrast. Adidas is the best company in regard to quality and durability, while also making a good, balanced shoe, but they suck at choosing color schemes, like when they were doing those energy colorways that nobody in their right mind could wear off court. All Neon green shoes. No. I hope they get it right with the explosive knit lows. If not, they’ve missed the boat.

  3. I hope the Crazy Explosive becomes a continuous line and Adidas builds off the first one. For the next CE, lets get solid outsoles and two more lace loops.

  4. I hope they use the same rubber compound on the outsole they used on the D Rose 6,

Based on the D Rose 6 I had for more than a year, the outsole is TRANSLUSCENT, BUT the outsole is very very durable, compared to the durability of the Crazy Explosive as mentioned a lot online which wears down fast,

Back then I keep asking for a solid color outsole for the Crazy Explosive, but realize it was the rubber they use that affects the durability and not it’s translucent nature of the outsole,

This colorway is nice, but will stay with mid to high cut shoes, since im so much comfortable playing in them.

    1. Man, the translucent outsole on the D Rose 6 blew my mind! Why can’t adidas keep using that rubber, it’s both durable and grippy.

  5. Is the black part PK? It is hard to tell from the pic. Damn I hope so. I love the PK high version and can’t wait for a decent color in the low. Triple white becomes triple dirty on court far too quick for me.

  6. Damn it. Just bought a pair on release date but will have to get these if/when they release. Great job on the colorway and excited for the tighter fit on the lows.

  7. Its better than the other one except for one detail: not a solid outsole. That makes the other one better by default.

  8. I love the ce mids but why havnt they put out better looking uppers like this?! I like playing in the mids better than any low cut shoes so I probably won’t pick up any of the lows but hopefully Adidas improves on the colorways they release.
