Your Best Look Yet at the Air Jordan XXXI Russell Westbrook PE

Russell Westbrook’s season may be over but it was still a statistically historic season for the OKC guard. To celebrate, Jordan Brand is finally giving the people what they want — a shoe that an athlete is actually wearing.

While Westbrook may not have worn this version of the Air Jordan XXXI all season long (and his version of the shoe featured solid rubber instead of translucent), it’s still nice to see that the player and the fan aren’t so disconnected when it comes to Jordan/Nike athletes.

Sporting elephant-printed leather at the heel and colors to match OKC uniforms, these look awesome for OKC fans. Borrowing tooling from the Air Jordan XXX, this is the most unique Air Jordan XXXI build yet since it does not feature the full-length unlocked Zoom Air setup.

You’ll have a chance to grab a pair of the Air Jordan XXXI ‘Why Not?’ PE beginning this Saturday, April 29, for $185.

    1. will be sold at Nike.com and footlocker aswell. Probably champs eastbay and footaction cause they all affiliate with footlocker, Check those sites release date to find out if they gonna be selling those.

  1. The pair will mark the end of my XXXI purchases.

I’m curious about the look of the XXXII because I never liked the simplicity of the AJ2.

  2. Finally, Jordan should’ve skipped 30, and released this version as the XXX1, it’s shocking how little effort Jordan put in their Anniversary, and how it took till now(right before the XXX2) to set that right.

  3. The power of marketing and perception: JB basically used the same midsole on 3 consecutive models: 29, 30, 31 and changed the backstory up a bit. 29’s were the original, 30’s because JB had “no time” and had to rush the product out and get them into production, 31’s because Russ didn’t like how the original 31 midsole felt. But these have a ‘sample vibe’ to them and that’s what I’m looking forward to the most.

  4. From when I first saw them, I said that these are boss. This is something I’d love to play in, a sort of throwback from nike with real player input instead of the silly banter. I hope there is a review coming on this shoe to discuss how the new upper works with the different base, and if durability may be an issue with the upper. I have been hearing that the mesh that Nike uses rips, apparently it does on the Kobe XI at the lateral and forefoot flex points.

  5. Dicks is getting these too. Every place seems like FCFS unless SNKRS does a raffle. Also, not every Footlocker is getting these. I don’t think they’re going to be impossible to get, but it will take some effort.
