Behind the Scenes: Designer Brett Golliff Renders Nike Elite Versions of 10 Classic Basketball Sneakers

Remember last week when we shared with you the Complex list: Designer Brett Golliff Renders Nike Elite Versions of 10 Classic Basketball Sneakers?

If you are like me and thoroughly enjoyed the list and redesigns then you must be wondering what the inspiration behind each redesign was or what it was like attempting to redesign such classic basketball sneakers.

Head over to Brett’s site and check out Pt. 1 of his Classic | Elite series and let me know what you think when you’re done.

P.S. I say we start a petition to Nike so we can get some of those models into production. I’d love to see a Pippen II Elite and an Air Jordan XI Elite.

  1. I think that Nike will just throw any petition to the trash. They make only KD, LBJ and Kobe elites because thats their leading models. Also they nearly don’t do nothing to the shoe than just adding carbon or extra flywire… So I don’t think that they will remodel the whole shoe.

    1. True, but it’d be nice if they would maybe consider adding in some new tech to the retros to make them perform on par with todays top performers would be awesome.

  2. i would pay 300+ for 11 elite…..but only under one condition.. that is the patent leathers are more durable .. i don;t mind synthetic, but they must be more durable then the old jordan 11’s patent leathers…
