The Atmos X Nike Air Max2 Light launches tomorrow and we have a detailed look and review for anyone interested in purchasing.
The latest collaboration between Japanese retailer Atmos and Nike Sportswear takes inspiration from the 90s and its apparel.
The multi-colored paneling, with each panel showcasing a different style of Nike’s branding throughout the years, makes up the build in its entirety. It would have been cool if each pair was paneled uniquely, but that doesn’t look to be the case this time around. In addition to the apparel paneling, the traditional synthetic leather overlays have been replaced with a clear TPU. It showcases the way the shoe was constructed, but I love the way the Air Max2 Light looks as is so this change is not one that I like.
Tech specs include a lightweight Phylon midsole that offers a decent amount of give under-foot for comfort and an Air Max2 heel unit. Air Max2 is a dual-chambered Air bag with two different PSI levels — one offering support while the other offers cushion. The original model featured a forefoot Zoom Air unit but the Retro seems to be missing that feature.
The Atmos X Nike Air Max2 Light will release on Friday, April 5, 2019 for $160 at Nike QS account retailers such as PhenomGlobal.com.
