Anta, one of the largest (if not the largest) sportswear companies in China, has become an official sponsor of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
On Thursday, Zhang Jiandon, vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee and Ding Shizhong, board chairman and CEO of Anta, signed the partnership agreement, according to China Daily.
As the official sports apparel partner for Beijing 2022, Anta will supply Chinese athletes and Beijing 2022 staff with sports apparel that showcases typical Chinese elements to hone China’s national image, according to Zhang Jiandon.
“ANTA will not only provide best-quality service to Beijing 2022, but will also work to help promote winter sports development in China,” said Zheng Jie, executive board director for ANTA’s branding, in a statement.
Zheng Jie also said that Anta is the fourth largest sports product company in the world, and has been a partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Chinese Olympic Team for the last eight years.
“ANTA will not only provide best-quality service to Beijing 2022, but will also work to help promote winter sports development in China,” said Zheng Jie in a statement.
According to SGB, the Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee announced domestic partnerships with the Bank of China (official commercial banking partner), Air China (official passenger air transportation services partner), and YiLi Group (official dairy products partner).
