An Official Look at Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 12 in ‘University Red’
One of Nike Basketball’s best performers of 2019, the Nike KD 12 in ‘University Red’ gets an official look.
I’ve been saying this for years, but $150 is the sweet spot for signature sneaker pricing.
Obviously, we all want to pay as little as possible when buying that new pair but when the original retail price of the shoe is around the $150 mark, then the shoe typically has enough features to warrant the price while making you feel like you just came up on a steal should you grab them under retail. That is how I feel about the KD 12.
The cushion is fantastic and traction is very good. Fit, depending on how you like your shoes to fit, is amazing. It’s just an all-around solid hoop shoe. Now if they only came in cool colors. Oh, wait…
The ‘University Red’ Nike KD 12 may not be as vibrant as the 90s Kids edition that seems to have been delayed indefinitely, but they’re still bright enough to garner some attention. Add in that they’re a performance beast and you have yourself a great looking shoe that does what it’s supposed to do.
If you’ve been waiting to try out the Nike KD 12 yourself then this colorway may be the one that you wind up with. Unless you’re really patient.
The Nike KD 12 ‘University Red’ is scheduled to release on May 1 for $150.
