The Air Jordan XXXI ‘Banned’ is Available Now
The past and the present collide on the Air Jordan XXXI ‘Banned’, which is available now at numerous retailers.
The shoe boasts a historic look, with homages to the Jordan 1 from the Nike swoosh, wings logo, and heel padding. Flyweave once again touches the midfoot and toe portions of the upper, while the heel is dressed with a synthetic upper. A full-length Zoom Air unit provides bounce coverage wherever you step, while Flywire draws the laces closer to your foot for a 1-to-1 fit.
The colorway itself is an homage to the Air Jordan 1 in Black and Red, which was banned (as Nike will tell out) by the NBA for featuring too much red. Of course, the actual shoe that was banned was the Air Ship, although the fact still remains that a Nike shoe was banned.
