Air Jordan XX9 Low Review

Jordan Brand may have released their best sneaker of the year: the Air Jordan XX9 Low.

The AJ XX9 mid was my favorite hoop shoe of all time and now they come in low top form? I’m seriously tempted to pick up every single colorway. There is one question, though: when will more colorways release? Because I simply can’t wait.

The shoe features the same traction pattern (rubber instead of translucent), same cushion, and the same materials as the XX9 mid. If you were a fan of the mids (you probably were), then I recommend grabbing a pair of these. Although the solid rubber outsole hinders the traction ever so slightly, these things are still beasts. Not to mention, the fit on the lows is simply amazing. For whatever reason, they fit more snug than the mids and have the second best fit of any hoop shoe in 2015 (first is the Curry 2). To top it off, they are a super clean shoe that will keep you fresh both on and off the court.

Pairs are still available on Nike.com. Let us know what you think of the AJ XX9 Low in the comment section below.

  1. Not a fan of lows, sadly not a fan of aj xx9 also,

currently my shoe lineup is adidas and under armour,

But I guess everyone has their preference.

  2. Same here. I had the xx9s and they were great for a couple months. Prob my fav shoe until it started feeling flat to me. But then I got the d rose 6 and the cushion was just so much better

  3. After paying full retail for the launch CW of the XX9 mids, then seeing just about every other model go on sale, I can’t splurge on a pair of these until the price drops. Also think this CW is overdesigned. The elephant print clashes with the cement speckled midsole.
