Now that the NBA season is over (and we dislike that it is) the off-season is where it’s at. We all know that for these athletes and ourselves, the off-season is where we get better. With a multitude of cross-training shoes coming about, Jordan Brand is ready to take the limelight and give us the next shoe: the Air Jordan Trainer 1 Low.
It seems like the upper has a mix of Jacquard material along the midfoot with fuse overlays along the ridges of the lacing system which also utilize Flywire. You have a visible Jumpman logo on the side of the shoe and what seems to be thin fit bootie to keep the foot locked down into the shoe. There us also a tab pull along the heel.
Now here’s what stands out: with the visible translucent outsole we can clearly see a large Zoom Air along the heel. However, what’s interesting is the honeycomb free flex grooves, similar to those utilized in the Kobe 11 Elite, and the insole. We’re not entirely sure if it’s a drop-in Lunar midsole, but from what we saw of the flexing and cushioning from the Kobe 11 Elite, we don’t have many complaints because it felt awesome.
The current price is still up in the air but the tentative release date is July 1, although that could be subject to change. Will you be copping the Air Jordan Trainer 1 for your future training sessions? Let us know what you think in the comment section.
