For most of us, the Chinese New Year holiday isn’t until the end of this month. Asia had released the Air Jordan ‘Chinese New Year’ Pack early on 1/7 to go along with Jordan Brand’s grand opening of its stores in Chengdu and Taipei. Luckily, our friends over at iD4shoes have pairs available now.
The Men’s AJ12 features similar aspects to the Air Jordan 12 ‘Taxi’ but it uses a 3M material that wraps around the shoe to go along with the bamboo-like plate and the Chinese lettering on the tongue.
The Air Jordan 12 ‘CNY’ GS uses a beige off-white colorway to go along with laser cut designs along the midfoot and the same bamboo-like plate. The tongue features Chinese letters that say 12 in one way, but when flipped to the side say something to the effect of “20 years” — a celebration of the 20 years that Jordan Brand has been in Asia.
Last but not least, the Air Jordan 31 features a performance woven upper in black while the synthetic leather heel is in white. The shoe also features a translucent outsole that features a bamboo-like translucent design to go along with the bamboo-themed Speed Plate.
