The Air Jordan 9 in Black/University Red Drops for March Madness

After an Air Jordan 9 for LA and the silhouette’s modification into a boot, the Air Jordan 9 is dropping in a simple nearly triple black colorway.

The deep black base on this Air Jordan 9 is broken up by sparse University Red accents at the branding hits. Patent leather is used along the midsole and extends up onto the heel for another texture. The shoe rides atop an Anthracite outsole and cushioning should be supplied by two Air units, one in the forefoot and one in the heel.

While the GS build is pictured here, the Air Jordan 9 in ‘Black/University Red/Anthracite’ is scheduled to release in both men’s and kids sizes on March 10, right before March Madness jumps off. Expect retail to be $190.

  1. Annoying thing about 9 drops recent is that there’s always something more desirable around the same time. I like these, but isn’t there the 13 Royal and the Taxi 12 about that time?

    1. I think so unless they change their minds again about the release dates. on the otherhand. considering the aesthetics, pricepoint and performance aspect, I think the BlackCat 32s are much better purchase. I like these but budget constraints make me consider other options unless I sell my Rosso Corsa 32s.

    1. true, they are not the best and clunky as hell. the break-in time is like forever or won’t happen unless the shoe is worn near it’s core. although they would make a great rain or hiking boot.
