Jordan Brand has started the new year strong with new models like the Why Not Zer0.1 and the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit ‘Shadow’. Hoping to build off that success, the Air Jordan 32 ‘Chinese New Year’ will launch next month.
Taking inspiration from the Air Jordan 2, the 32 has received favorable reception. The brand’s latest addition to Michael Jordan’s signature line features beastly herringbone traction, FlightSpeed technology, a Flyknit upper, and heel and forefoot Zoom Air.
This particular iteration honors the Chinese New Year, which falls on February 16. The primarily black upper is covered in red and gold accents of fireworks, and each sneaker features a large flower on the lateral heel.
A red and gold “Air Jordan” is featured on the tongue, which is complemented nicely by black laces. All of this is offset by a large, white midsole with a bold red Jumpman.
The Air Jordan 32 ‘Chinese New Year’ will drop at Eastbay.com on February 9 for $185. You can also get an official look at the accompanying Air Jordan 6 ‘Chinese New Year’ prior to its Stateside release (both silhouettes launched in mid-January in China).
