While not often mentioned among “favorite Air Jordans” by hypebeasts, the 2004 Air Jordan 19 is an on-court beast. Now, rumors have it that it will be back next year.
According to leaker @soleheatonfeet, an Air Jordan 19 Retro in ‘Black/Elemental Gold/Sail/Black’ is scheduled to release in April of 2019. There is no word yet on whether the shoe will release in its shrouded build or leaner SE version.
The Air Jordan 19 originally featured a forefoot Zoom Air unit and two Zoom Air units in the heel (double-stacked like the Foamposite and Air Jordan 18). The rest of the midsole was Phylon, and WearTesters captain Nightwing2303 loved the setup when he wrote his Air Jordan 19 Performance Review several years ago (we’ve been doing this a long time).
No photos of the upcoming 2019 Air Jordan 19 have surfaced yet (the image here is of a 2004 pair) but we will keep you updated. For now, let us know if you’d be down to pick up an Air Jordan 19 Retro.

To cost an arm and a leg is the definitive reason for AJ retros.
Hell yes! These were great shoes, super comfy, great traction, amazing cushion.
REALLY NICE shoe to ball in. STOOPID cushion! Traction was only ok for me cuz the translucent section attracted a ton of dust and was kinda difficult to wipe off. If the price is right I’ll get a new pair. Still have 1 pair of OG whites and White/Red SE in my closet. I think I sold my Black/Cement XIX Low… or maybe they’re lost in my garage…
I copped all the SEs and missed the regular ones. Comfy as hell.
Fuck yea 19’s. I dunno what it is but I love the shroud n shit, and that cushion sounds beastly. Probably gonna hit outlets tho, perfect
Probably my favorite cushion setup in a jordan outside of unlocked zoom in the XX8. One of the most comfy shoes hands down and they played pretty well!
Expecting them to be expensive though… if the recent AJ 17, 16 and 18 retros have been any indication of pricing.
I’m sorry but this shoe has deserved a retro for years. The look is AMAZING in it’s own right. Not that new hypebeast look. An actual cool shoe. Definite cop. I’ve wanted these forever.
