The Air Jordan 12 Retro “The Master” released last Saturday, February 27, 2016, for $190. I was lucky enough to grab a pair at my local Finish Line, as these were slightly harder to grab than expected.
The colorway is inspired by one of MJ’s most famous posters, called “The Master.” An image of the poster can be found on the retro card that came with the shoes. Jordan Brand also decided to switch things up as the shoes were packaged in the original Jordan 12 box.
The entire upper is composed of a black leather. Unfortunately, the leather is much stiffer than I expected. Hopefully that changes on upcoming Air Jordan 12 releases. Gold eyelets offer a nice contrast to the murdered-out upper and a white plastic piece features debossed Jordan branding.
The Air Jordan 12 is one of our favorite on court options when it comes to the Air Jordan signature line. You can check out our performance review by clicking HERE. You can’t go wrong with full-length Zoom and a herringbone traction pattern.
