After several of Jordan Brand’s heavy-hitting sneakers got ‘Last Shot’ colorways to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jordan’s last shot, His Airness’ first sneaker is ready for the black and red treatment.
Instead of a fusion Air Jordan 1, like the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’99 of the past, this time around it is strictly the colorway that is headed to the AJ1. Featuring a yellow Wings logo that honors the shield Jumpman logo, the shoe comes in predominantly black with red on the outsole, tongue branding, and collar to pay homage to the classic Air Jordan 14 ‘Last Shot’.
Shoes like the Air Jordan 32 Low, Flyknit Elevation 23, and Jordan Fly Lockdown have all received ‘Last Shot’ builds to celebrate the Air Jordan 14 ‘Last Shot’, which turns 20 this year. The 2018 retro is scheduled to release on June 14.
Tech-wise, the Air Jordan 1 Mid features an Air-Sole unit in the heel for some comfort, though considering the silhouette is from 1985, don’t expect too much in the cushioning department if you are planning to ball in it. However, one thing you can expect is great traction that performs well — even by today’s standards.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Last Shot’ is available now for $110 at Shoe Palace. The shoe is not yet available on nike.com or Eastbay.com so be on the lookout if you’re feeling it.
