Air Jordan 1 Custom ‘Boston Strong’ – Auction for Bombing Victims

Few times does our country come together and agree around a sporting event, but the Boston Marathon seems to be the exception. While the well-documented act of terrorism did end up hurting people, the nation and the city of Boston stood tall in the face of adversity.

Boston customizer Sab_One pays homage to the “Boston strong” spirit with an Air Jordan 1 custom, that was fittingly worn by marathon survivor JP Norden, who lost a leg in the bombing. The blue and yellow is iconically attached to the Boston Marathon, with shirts and medals bearing those colors. The other colors need no explanation, as the stars and stripes show a country united by tragedy.

If you’re a size 10.5 or just want to help the cause, Sab_One is auctioning off the shoes with all proceeds going to the Boston One Fund to help people directly affected by the tragedy. Go put in your eBay bid here, and if you want to donate directly to the Boston One Fund, click here.
