Designed for the “urban runner,” the adidas PureBoost Go has been officially unveiled by the three stripes brand. It is being supported by rapper A$AP Ferg and adidas Runners NYC captain Kwasi Kessie.

According to adidas, the new PureBoost Go is made to easily change direction and should offer a running experience that is accessible to all. The shoe’s standout feature is the Expanded Landing Zone, a wider forefoot platform, which should help increase stability upon lateral movements.

Of course, the PureBoost Go rides atop a full-length Boost midsole. The deconstructed circular knit upper, a breathable fabric, should give wearers a flexible fit with freedom of movement.

“For me, there’s nothing more thrilling than street running through NYC,” said adidas Runners NYC captain Kwasi Kessie. “It’s exciting because it’s so raw and unpredictable and discovering the city in this way is totally unique. adidas’ PureBoost Go is the perfect shoe for city running, it means I can change direction and adapt to anything the city throws at me.”

According to adidas, the brand will be inspiring city runners and giving back to A$AP Ferg’s Harlem community by refurbishing the running track at Thomas Jefferson Park (the renovations will be finished later this summer). To kick off the new initiative, A$AP Ferg and adidas will drop an exclusive track called “BRAG” which will go live on adidas.com on July 24 (stay tuned to adidas.com/us/trackfortrack for more information).

Moreover, adidas is partnering with delivery service Postmates for an exclusive pre-sale to consumers located in NYC and Chicago on July 18 through the Postmates app. Consumers within the delivery zone of select adidas stores will be able to get their adidas PureBoost Go delivered to them, an effort to squeeze running into busy lives.

The aiddas PureBoost Go will be available for men and women in the U.S. on July 19 for $120 at adidas.com, adidas stores, and select retailers including Eastbay, Finish Line, Champs, and Nordstrom. The shoe will drop globally on August 22.
