adidas Ultra Boost – Available Early

If you were in the market for a new pair of runners, and wanted to give the adidas Ultra Boost a try then you can grab them online a little earlier than their February 11th release date.

For today only, the Ultra Boost is going to be available online in a small run. I’ve been running in them since I got them, and I’ve enjoyed them quite a bit. They’re a neutral runner with a crazy soft upper, and plenty of responsive cushion. Not quite a full performance review, but that will come later on. However, if you’re already familiar with adidas’ Boost runners then you’ll probably enjoy these.

You can grab them now HERE if you are interested.

    1. Yeah, it has basically the same foundation/silhouette. One thing, the Pure Boost isn’t a very good running shoe, its not meant for that but more for “sportswear”. But the Ultra Boost has new technologies that make it significantly better. It has a full Boost midsole, instead of the Boost midsole with an eva foam stability ring around it, and has 20 percent more boost. 20 percent more cushioning and responsiveness than the energy boost 2, which i just cant imagine. Also, the upper is primeknit, a knit material similar to flyknit but there is a different process to make primeknit. The heel and tongue area are also modified, with the tongue area being directly connected with no separation, while the heel area has a nice contouring shape that hugs your achilles heel and feels super nice. There is a heel counter ( i dont know if its TPU or plastic) which has been made by the BMW badge makers (I know thats irrelevant but I thought that it was pretty cool), that has a gap in the middle for a comfort in your achilles. There is a modified springplate, the Torsion System, I think this is smaller to provide more rigidty to the heel and forefoot, which also means more toe spring and the “bounce back” effect. Also, traction is very different, this time they are using “Stretch Web” which instead of carving into the rubber, they are making a web so its extremely flexible, using the same principle as Nike Free but feels and looks very different. The traction also has these rubber bumps in them, and thats mainly for improved traction, which I believe is made up of the same rubber compound from Continental Tires. So yes, similarly but better. Thus, the “ultra” boost.
