In an effort to clean up the seas, adidas and Parley for the Oceans have collaborated on another sneaker: the NMD R1.
In line with previous collaborations, this addition to the Parley collection uses recycled and repurposed materials to fight against marine plastic pollution. Additionally, the one-piece Primeknit upper is spun from Parley Ocean Plastic, which is constructed from waste that is intercepted at beaches and coastal communities.
There is a Boost midsole underfoot for comfort and the outsole is made up of recycled materials as well. To top it all off, this NMD R1 comes in Parley’s signature ocean blue color palette with black accenting on the heel patch, heel pull, and laces.
The adidas x Parley for the Oceans NMD R1 is set to release on November 7 for $170. It will be available on adidas.com on release day.
