The two brands will be bringing fresh takes on two classics: the Superstar and the Rivalry Low.
Last year, adidas collaborated with United Arrows and Sons and famed typographer MIKITYPE on the adidas NMD CS1 PK and two tracksuits. This year, adidas is making waves overseas once again, and this time it’s working with renowned graffiti artist WANTO.
For this collaboration, the Superstar has gotten a complete overhaul and is now called the Ultra Star. This new build now features a higher cream Primeknit cut on the collar along with leather overlays and faux snakeskin on the heel pull tabs and three-stripes branding. All this sits atop a Boost midsole so comfort is almost guaranteed.
Meanwhile, on the Rivalry Low, the entire upper is done up in premium leather — even the laces come in leather as well. Like the Ultra Star, the Rivalry Low features faux snakeskin on the three-stripes branding as well as the toebox. Unlike the Ultra Star, it appears that the Rivalry Low will not have Boost in the midsole.
This adidas x United Arrows and Sons collaboration is set to release on August 25. Though no pricing or release locations have been announced, you can expect the shoes to release on adidas.com and at select overseas adidas retailers on release day.
