The Triple Black adidas EQT Support 93/17 ‘Black Friday’

“Black Friday,” the commercial day after we give thanks, is known for coveted sneaker releases. With Jordan Brand already announcing its Black Friday release, it was time for adidas to do the same.

This adidas EQT Support 93/17, aptly named ‘Black Friday’, is called such for two reasons: it comes in an all-black color scheme and it releases on the aforementioned Friday.

This particular sneaker differs in that everything is black — branding, outsole, Boost, etc. Of note, the black Boost midsole is a change from the other EQT Support 93/17s that were released as they exclusively featured white Boost midsoles.

You can check out Stan’s mini-review on the adidas EQT Support 93/17.

The adidas EQT Support 93/17 ‘Black Friday’ is scheduled to release on November 24 at adidas.com and select adidas retailers for $180.

What do you think of this all-black adidas EQT Support 93/17? Are you going to cop it on Black Friday this year or do other sneakers have your attention? Let us know in the comment section below.

  1. these are pretty much essential
though i have to say that the 93/17 isn’t much of an everyday shoe, it’s too much boost to be walking around in for hours + the boost in the back is so thick that pronounced boost creases are going to start appearing in the rear of the shoe….for days when you don’t have to walk around much, though, they’re golden

  2. This is the first colorway of the 93/17 that i actually like.
But the nice color doesn’t distract me very long from the obvious questions.
Why is there no torsion system? Why is there this pretty useless outsole in place?
This shoe defies the meaning of its EQT tag.
And when the price tag is around 180$ Adidas could have at least designed an useless outsole specific to this model instead of using outsoles they already had laying around. And just because i’m at it right now…has anyone asked themselfes why it wasn’t possible to align the three stripes of the upper and the boost?
Adidas did so many things right the last few years but this shoe is not one of them.
Don’t get me wrong i love boost. While writing this i wear the 93/16 boost shoes which are actual useable for sports by the way as they should be.
The 93/17 model doesn’t do one thing better than the model the year before and that is sad. If you cut away the heel section they would make great slippers i think.
Instead of simply triplicating the amount of boost for the 93/18 maybe someone with a little sense for the meaning of the Equipment line should drop by the design department.
To end on a positive note..i’m really curious about the next years model.
