The adidas D Rose Englewood line continues with the fourth iteration of the model, and these included a bit of the past D Rose signature DNA details.
Most notably, the tooling on these guys was taken straight off the D Rose 5 Boost. In doing so you know the traction is going to be great no matter the court or condition. Boost cushioning is also found full length for those that enjoy getting the best cushion for their bodies while on-court.
The upper of the D Rose Englewood is a bit strange. They almost have a T-MAC vibe to them and the cross strap is one of the strangest looking things I’ve ever seen. Not sure how well that strap will work, but it’s there so what can you do. Mesh makes up the upper with synthetic overlays. Other than the tooling, the materials look to be the best feature on the shoe.
The D Rose Englewood line is an affordable option from adidas that is meant to be played both indoors and outdoors. They may never release Stateside, but you can grab them now from overseas retailers such as basket4ballers.com.
You can see better images of the shoes here along with a couple of other color options.
Looks like a solid performer, the materials look like a step up from the rose 5, especially the colorway you reviewed with the cheap synthetic, NW. Thanks for the early info as always.
If any of the weartesters can cop these stateside they are definitely worth a review!
Damn adidas is going nuts with full-length boost in 2016!! Im super excited on what tech will be used for the Lillard 3..but till then adidas needs to restock the Lillard 2 Homes..like 6 months ago!!
120€ = 135 $, plus shipping 15€=17$ . In total 152 without the customs tax. I think it’s better to buy the new KD
Saw this at a local shop in Manila and its almost the same price range as the lillard 2. To be honest I like the colorway I saw as it is black and white. But upon fitting its quite heavy to be a lowtop. Cushion and traction is drose 5. Will wait for it to be on sale probably.
My englewood 2 lasted like a month outdoors.
I really like these(a sturdy low-top, with Boost), there’s one practical thing that stopped me, the front-closing velcro, it’s almost begging to get kicked loose.
