adidas D Lillard 2 ‘Static’ | Detailed Look and Review

The adidas D Lillard 2 just launched in a brand new colorway over the weekend dubbed ‘Static’.

These feature a knitted upper versus the Jacquard or synthetic leather that we’ve seen on previous models. It’s similar to PrimeKnit, but also very different as it offers very little stretch in comparison.

If you wanted to check out our detailed look and review then hit the play button on the video below. If anyone grabbed a pair either in this colorway or another, share your thoughts on them in the comment section below.

  1. I agree that this is a dope shoe with dope C/W. question since I have no experience using this particular shoe yet is if the continental rubber is an equivalent of XDR but with better grip? also, the durability of the bounce if how long would it keep it’s comfort/performance level. I might grab a pair of this in a few months just before the Rose 7s arrive.

  2. thank you for this awesome update, and all of the hard work you do!
You mentioned the Synthetic Leather is your least favorite of the three; would you prefer the Jaquard over this knit?

  3. Nightwing, as i wrote on ur youtube review, i am a little bit disappointed. I’m not sure if i have to be like that cause of adidas or foot locker.
i bought my pair of d lillard 2 in the rip city version, after i saw your review.
and listen, everything u said there was true for me.
BUT… in all of your reviews, but the one about the all-star model,
you say that the outsole is made by continental and u can clearly show that.
I watched right now this model, u just reviewed here, on the footlocker.com website and the continental logo is there too.
But listen, i bought them on the italian footlocker website (https://www.footlocker.it/it/p/adidas-d-lillard-uomo-scarpe-4?v=314105664404)
Footlocker here does not sell them on stores!
And the surprise is that the continental logo is not there. i am quite sure they (Adidas?) use a different material, made by whoknowswho but continental man!!!
I’m angry. of course, not because of u.

  4. those were the angles I needed to see. I was iding a pair last night and was staring at my trigger finger. I wanna try this CW for sure. I kmnow the textile is the same as the Wall Paisley from last year so I have some exposure there but I have been tossing around the Litem up 2.0 as well. and those are $80 bones now. I have an extra $150 and I cant make up my mind – “firs t world problems”

  5. Yo nightwing I was wondering if you like the Jacquard feel more than the static on these, just wanted ur opinion.

  6. Hi Nightwing, do you reccomend going 1/2 a size down on these? Or go true to size?
Is the fit different from the home jacquard colorway?

  7. Hi Nightwing, I’m a wide footer and I’m wondering if I should go up half a size for the knitted upper like the jacquard upper.

  8. Hey Nightwing, I’m planning on getting a pair but don’t know if I should go for the “Away” CW Jacquard or the “Static” knit upper. Are there major differences to the overall feel or fit. (Note: I know that u enjoy both just wanted to know if there are major differences)

  9. Nightwing, wondering if you or anyone has worn the Static for a little bit. Wondering if they stretch out. I tried on the “away” version with jacquard and loved them but then ordered the “static” and it seems like it has a different fit. Like it doesn’t have as much volume. If the Static is not going to stretch out then I’m going to have to go back and buy the Away version (even though I’m not digging black and red).
