The ‘Red October’ all-red sneaker trend continues on with the adidas D Lillard 1 ‘Rose City’. We gave you preview of the sneaker in a video yesterday, in which Lillard strokes step-back jumpers on Santa (no really.) The picture below gives a closer look though, with the roses on the inner bootie relating to Portland being known as the rose city. The cushioning appears to be adiprene, while Sprintframe is utilized for extra support in the around the midsole.

Just looked at my Rose 5 and saw the traction on the top is the same as the d lillards whole outsole, looks to be a really good shoe considering it’s only his first shoe. I’m definitely passing the kyries now .

This is probably the cleanest silhouette for a first shoe in awhile.
John Wall’s was alright, Curry’s is pretty dope, and Kyrie’s is.. well I ain’t gonna bag on those anymore just in case someone else likes em, they just ain’t for me.
But these are like a mix with the WoW silhouette, AJ 3 toe box, AJ 4 netting, and the Rose line sprint frame, particularly the 3 or 3.5. And as someone mentioned already, the Rose 5 front outsole.

I hope that the heel area does not dig into my achilles. They seem very high. The black pair seemed to have a black plastic heel area so that may hurt…
I think to many non superstars have thier own shoe. Addidas has 3 point guard signature shoes,too many, waters down thier own market.
