Everyone’s been asking if adidas threw in the towel with their CrazyQuick line, and luckily they haven’t. Instead they’ve come strong to the performance basketball market with some new tech and the kicks look like they’ll be another solid performer.
Whatever is going on over at adidas HQ, keep it going. We’re getting lower priced models that perform… and it’s coming from brands most choose to ignore. The new CrazyQuick 3 brings adiPrene+ into the mix for cushion, which is a substantial upgrade compared to their original two versions. Then they’ve completely done away with the SprintFrame and instead introduced what they call the QuickFrame. QuickFrame looks to be an EVA frame that is also the midsole that will keep your foot locked in and secured onto the footbed. TechFit is also found at the tongue, but their TechFit hasn’t impressed me as much as it had in the original CrazyQuick. PureMotion also looks to still be in place, and the materials look awesome.
There is no word on a US release at the moment, but the adidas CrazyQuick 3 has already released overseas at ATAF.
Looks sweet! It kind of looks like the Lebron 12 lows or D Lillard 1
Adidas and UA have been destroying Nike lately when it comes to bang for your buck models! NW, will there be a performance review on these if they hit retailers stateside?
Yes, if they are available here I’ll grab a pair.
Thanks for the response.
Just got them on black and white , they are awesome !!! when the performance review @nightwing2303
KB mentality, Kobe venomon, james Harden shoe that I forgot the name of, and hyperquickness 2 have been solid
I want to see the outsole! I hope they use deep herringbone make it thick too
These look just like the J Wall 2s.
I agree. They do resemble the jwall 2
Looks like the swizz beats Kamikaze 3s that sucked so bad.
Yuck
I own 3 crazyquick 1 shoes and they take courtfeel to the next level, but this looks like lows or mids compared to the original.
J Wall is getting played so bad lol. First he got a knockoff D Rose 773 III for his first shoe, and now this for his second.
I agree. I like some cw of the jwall but if him and lillard just split as faces of the cqs still they would still be ok. But lillard d0es have a good l00king sig. So atleast they should have gave him more of a cqesque
adidas clearly had a hard time with designs because the three stripes took so much area on the upper. now they are mixing it up with the logo, which is a good thing. i’d say maybe take the brand text out and let the logo do the branding.
Thats exactly what they had done by incorporating the stripes into the upper lol. Their branding being on the heel is just fine IMO. Keeps it clean, seen, and out of the way of the design.
what i meant was take off the word “adidas” under the logo. it’d be way cleaner. with that big text, it feels like they’re worried people might’ve forgotten their name.
cant’ complain tho. adidas doin’ work man
I’m probably going to get a pair of these and pass on the J. Wall 2.
Man all that time wasted designing the crazy quick boost 3
Maybe it’s just my attention to detail, but 9/10 times when people say one sneaker looks “just like” another one, I don’t see it. The JWall 2 has a different silhouette and obviously any shoe with puremotion is going to have the very similar if not the same mid/outsole setup.
It’s sort of like the Rorshach test with shoe silhouettes. You sort of see what you want to see based on what your mind is programmed towards or something. A lot of people who (not here necessarily, but other sneaker forums and sites) that yell out how they see similarities to some shoe to that of a Nike shoe sometimes shows how programmed they are into Nike’s marketing and culture. I’ve had too many arguments with people trying to tell them how whatever Nike shoe they are referring to has many design cues from another shoe company. You can’t tell swoosh heads anything. Just sort of have to let them continue living in their world because they are just not trying to hear that.
Fire must cop
give these to me NOW….the CQ1 is one of my all time favorite shoes, these look like they will be just as good, even if they’re rather different…and the low cut….YES!
Is it a low? The last lace loop seems to go pretty high.
A great progression on the 1, and 2, should be much more natural in this setup(wrapping the midsole up), it’s still too far of, from the OG 5-Pod PureMotion though. 🙁
What are some names of the models that used the original PureMotion 1.0 outsole? I might try and see if I can track down a pair on Ebay or somewhere. I really want to try out PureMotion 1.0.
Models with PureMotion 1.0 outsole (from the Black Lotus shoe review blog, RIP): TS Supernatural Creator and Commander (Creator is guard oriented, Commander is big man oriented), TS Heat Check, adizero Infiltrate, Adidas adipure, Pro Madness, Pro Model 2010, Beast Commander, adizero Rose 1.5 and adizero Rose 1.0.
Thank-you very much. I’ll start looking for them now. I assume Ebay would be the place to look? I’ll also check out that Black Lotus site for the reviews.
Which of those would you recommend for a light (150lbs) SG/SF?
The TS Supernatural Commander and Beast Commander are more big man oriented. The Pro Model 2010 is sort of in the middle. Since you are a guard, I’d recommend either of the Rose 1 or 1.5 or from personal experience, the TS Supernatural Creator. That shoe is probably a top 3-5 shoe of all time me for me performance wise. I still have mine and break it out for a run from time to time. Ventilation is the only weak point of that shoe. The fit and court feel of that shoe is second to none.
once i had the drose 1.5..one of the best damn shoes..with great traction, great fit, great material, and for me sufficient cushion, regret that i take those outdoor haha
Im currently using the crazyquick trainer low cut..its the same with the cq1 with techfit all over but low cut and thicker outsole pattern, therefore longer lasting and can be used outdoor..once i almost tripped from too much grip indoor haha..i got it from offseason sale
Interesting, I just checked out the CrazyQuick Trainer. You piqued my interest by saying that the outsole pattern is thicker. Can you play Basketball in the Trainers? I might see if I can track down a pair.
I always wanted to try one of the CrazyQuicks out, but it seemed like the traction was too pliable and only suitable for indoor use so I ended up skipping the first two models.
I’m interested in this CrazyQuick 3 too if the traction is more durable than the previous 2 models.
yes you can play basketball in the trainer. i use it for league game purpose only and indoor court, just to preserve it. but sometimes i do crash outdoor court with it and there are no wear sign. im a slasher btw
I have this exact same shoe and they’re awesome.
I really like the direction Adidas is taking with some of their core basketball models, with clean and functional designs AND branding at the right place. Little things like that make shoes look way better.
Some of the best Adidas did a great job incorporate the stripes with the rest of the shoe. While what we have steps away from that design cues, I can’t complain about having smart looking basketball shoes. For some reasons brands big and small started drinking that big logo cool-aid and next thing you know they flood the market with bad designs. Adidas’ now on a roll with good designs and I love to see them keeping it that way.
I bought these 5 days ago in local store in the Lithuania. Thoguht there will be performance test before shoes come to my country, but this time opposite.
The shoes are amazing: stable, fit is excellent ,true to size, very good flexibility + absorb protection, new upper mesh is awesome, traction is very good. 9.5/10. Good job ADIDAS.
hi man. is it sil.lt ?
i am hunting for a performance review also. but the price is too high now, on par with many others. hows the outdoor durability? i also have a problem with width.
Just got them on black and white , they are awesome !!! when the performance review @nightwing2303
