The adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016 Primeknit ‘Swaggy P’

adidas dropped the mic on every basketball shoe release this year. Need we say more? Now, the Three stripes brand has unveiled the upcoming adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016 Primeknit ‘Swaggy P’.

In case you were wondering how the CLB16 performed, you can check out the performance reviews by Nightwing2303, Jahronmon, and NYJumpman23. If you haven’t checked the WearTesters Instagram recently, we uploaded some dope stories a couple weeks ago while at the grand opening of the adidas NYC Store. We gave you all a glimpse of what’s to come, including this ‘Swaggy P’ model.

The shoe features a Primeknit forefoot and midfoot, backed by nylon, which requires no break-in time. This version is great for lockdown because it lacks a tongue, but some of you might enjoy the alternate version with the option to tighten or loosen the shoe as needed. The outsole uses a dual-density rubber (rather than the Continental rubber).

Of course, we can’t forget to mention the Boost cushioning because #BoostIsLife. The one issue I had when trying these on, and I believe Nightwing had it as well, was that the lacing loops are exposed inside the shoe which causes a slight pinching in the foot — and it doesn’t help that the Primeknit fits snug on the foot either. This could deter you from obtaining the shoe, but the lacing issue might not pinch or affect you (so try them on if possible).

The release date is TBD, however, it shouldn’t be far off as the shoe is available for purchase at adidas NYC now. The price is listed at $150 so make sure you save that holiday money.

  1. Why can’t we just get a normal primeknit colorway with Continental rubber? I want to buy these but the goofy designs and lack of material combos keep me from pulling the trigger.

      1. Thanks for the info! Do the lace eyelets give out on this PK version just as easily as the regular version ? That would be a huge deal breaker.

  2. I saw the post on IG about Adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016(Light blue/White color). Are they gonna drop soon too???
    Thanks

  3. I was really anticipating the primeknit versions but Adidas took so long to release them that the Harden 1 has stolen some the luster for me. I still want the colorway that Nightwing was gifted but I’m not sure I want to drop $150 on these.

    1. I personally tried them on and you could possibly fit 1/2 size down, however the Primeknit felt more snug and contained a little better than the jacquard one. So you could possibly do TTS. But I believe the sizing issue is still the same.
