Boost for everybody! Well, almost everybody. adidas has been making waves with its Boost cushioning technology and it has taken new turns. The Three Stripes has finally figured out a way to incorporate full-length Boost cushioning into a basketball shoe and it all started with the adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016. (In case you missed Nightwing2303’s review, check it out HERE.) Now, the Three Stripes has decided to implement full-length Boost on another basketball model: the adidas Crazy Explosive.
A Primeknit upper will offer ventilation and it’ll be interesting to see how the neoprene geofit bootie fits. This shoe has a tuned TPU wrap window for the Boost in the heel which adds more medial responsiveness. It has an infinity shaped outsole shank that should provide stability around the mid-foot. Through the translucent outsole you can also peek at the torsional support.
According to a reliable source this particular Scarlett Red colorway is slated for release on August 1. Price is rumored to be around $150 but that can be subject to change. We are excited for the adidas Crazy Explosive to release and we’ll be doing a performance review on these once we get our hands on them.
