Nike’s upcoming Air Fear of God 1 gets a detailed look thanks to @gc11.
Though the Nike Air Fear of God collection will be releasing December 15 stateside, the collection centerpiece has begun popping up overseas and now we have our best look yet at the materials and design of the anticipated sneaker.
Showing off in Black and Light Bone colorways, details reveal the Nike Air Fear of God 1 took inspiration from more than just the Huarache Light and Air Max 180. Inside the collar you will see Fear of God branding that mimics Air Flight branding and the circular outsole traction pattern brings sneakers of the Air Force 1 and Jordan 1 era to mind.
You’ll notice different builds between colorways with the Black colorway using a mix of suede and textiles throughout the upper while the Light Bone build basically goes all in on raw materials. You also get a better look at the split heel counter that unzips for ease of entry and zips back for lockdown when taking these on the court. Speaking of on-court, we can’t forget to again mention that full-length Zoom Air Unit that is double stacked in the heel as it is showcased, of course.
Just as a reminder, the Nike Air Fear of God collection will be releasing December 15. Nike has not provided pricing officially, but it is expected that the Nike Air Fear of God — and a slightly taken down shoot around model Nike did not include in its press release — will cross over the $300 threshold, so prepare yourselves.
What are your thoughts on the Nike Air Fear of God 1 and its potential performance? Would you be willing to drop major bucks on a shoe like this given its on and off court potential? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below.
