Snakeskin continues to be a focal point on the 2019 edition of the Air Jordan 11 Low.
It seems as though all of this Spring and Summer Air Jordan 11 Low releases have or will be done with the snakeskin treatment.
Originally seen in 2001 as a Retro+ colorway (in both Men and Women’s editions) the snakeskin look wasn’t re-introduced to the Air Jordan 11 Low until 2014’s ‘Nightshade’ edition. Now, in 2019, the snakeskin look has reemerged in both original 2001 colorways with this Light Bone version being brand-new to the line.
The materials look solid on this release as the smooth leather looks to be soft. Meanwhile, the snakeskin panel is actual leather with a faux snakeskin treatment to it. For me, the colorway on this particular pair looks fantastic — and I’m not a huge fan of the snakeskin AJ11 in general. Something about this color combination makes the Air Jordan 11 Low look as elegant as patent leather has done to the Air Jordan 11 Mid.
There is no official release date for the upcoming Air Jordan 11 Low Snakeskin in Light Bone at the moment, but they’re rumored to be releasing in June. Retail should be $185. For a low top, no matter how elegant, that is pretty expensive.
