Upcoming Air Jordan XX8 SE Colorways Get a Detailed Look

Three of the four new colorways applied to the Air Jordan XX8 SE will be landing at Finish Line and they’ve given us a detailed look to show the models in their entirety.

Each colorway is great on their own but I can’t help being drawn to the Dark Powder Blue colorway and of course the iconic Black/ Red colorway. I think it’d be great if they released a Red based colorway with the same blocking as the Powder Blue version, just swapping out the Blue for Red.

You will be able to grab each of the three colorways on February 1st at Finish Line for $150 each.

  1. I’m not sure which colorway I like more, the Powder Blue or the Classic Red & Black!! All I know is now that the Jordan XX8 SE is available in solid colorway’s I’m definitely getting a pair!!!

    1. Yep. I’ve been waiting months and months for these to release and these colorways look amazing, but I am now probably going to have to skip the shoe because of the Zoom Air issues :(.

It really, really sucks. The performance shoe of the year, and I’m going to have to pass on these awesome colorways.

Does anyone know if you have to send the shoe to Nike (in the US) or back to the retailer if the Zoom Air pops on you? Also, how long do you have after purchase before you can’t return the shoes anymore for defective issues?

      1. Can anyone please answer my questions?

Elementxc said that you have two years from date of manufacture to return the shoes to Nike. Do you have to send them to Nike in the US if you are overseas?

        1. I think you should ask nike about that. I’ve seen somebody get their superfly 2 replaced because the rubber unit slot opened up exposing the airbag.

        2. From other comments from other people and Nightwing himself, if the Zoom Bag pops within 30 days of buying it from Footlocker (don’t know if other retailers allow refunds or exchanges to get another pair) they will refund you your money or give you another pair.

If its past a month, you can file a Nike Claim which takes about 2-3 weeks but you’ll get your money back in the form of credit for the Nike.com store.

          Hope that helps man

  2. I’ve yet to have the zoom bag pop in mine, and I beat on them hard. I’m definitely picking up another pair in the black and red colorway.

  3. Honestly, as inconvenient as the possibility of having your zoom bag pop is, it’s a non-issue for anyone with more than one pair of basketball shoes. If the shoe pops then you still have other shoes to ball in. If it doesn’t pop, well then you have one of the best performing shoes on the market in hand. AFAIK, you have 2 years from the date of manufacturing listed on the shoe to file a claim at Nike and get a voucher for full retail price.

    1. I see ur point, but come on your paying 150 $ (in europe is 150 euros, or more… so Its much more expensive here), so If you are paying that for a shoe wont you expect premium quality?? Sorry for the bad english, peace

      1. You are right. If I pay $150 USD for a shoe, I expect a certain level of quality or at least some type of warranty against defects. The great thing is, Nike does accept returns for defective shoes on a case by case basis. If you’re in a position where you can’t afford to have the Zoom bags pop then you should definitely look at other options. No one is forcing you to buy these.

I was only speaking for everyone who has the luxury of getting a couple pairs of basketball shoes. Unless like half the Jordan 28 se’s out there are popping, it isn’t something to worry about.

    2. Sorry, but I don’t agree at all. I’ve got a a few shoes to wear, but that is not the point at all. It’s nowhere near being the point.

I’m in Australia and the postage cost would be around $60 to send them back to the US, so if I only wore them once and had to send them back then I would be out $210. That’s a joke for that amount of money.

I want them because they are one of the top 2 or 3 performance shoes of the year, if not the best, but that is not fair if were to spend that much money and the Zoom Air bag pops after one use. That is poor value for money and having another pair of shoes to wear will not negate that at all. Your whole argument is flawed and doesn’t make sense to me. It’s downright stupid if you ask me. Nothing personal, I’m sure you’re a smart person, but yeah, doesn’t make sense to me that I should have another pair of shoes just in case a $150 pair is faulty after potentially one use.

How about Nike fix the issue or not release the SEs at all if it is problem that they can’t fix without releasing a new model. They never should have released these if it was an issue that can’t be fixed. They should have just left it at the XX8s and released the XX9s instead of the SEs.

  4. People with popped zoom bags: tell me what happened? Did you jab too hard? Drop step? Explain what happened. They don’t pop for no reason.

        1. Since this problem is recurrent, one would wonder if the company will address this for consumers of all regions.

Probably they won’t address this unless some of the Jordan Brand athletes have this problem occurring during a game i.e LeBron not wearing the XI’s type instance.

  5. I personally own the red black “bulls” colorway cuz it released a bit earlier here in korea. These look sick on your feet

  6. I’m not sure if my Georgetown blue camo colowray popped their zoom bag or not. Either the bag dislodged from its compartment or it popped. The center crease that separates the zoom bag on the forefoot was bulging out. I’m only 158 lbs and 5’8. I used them exclusively indoors and only hoop on weekends(not every) for about 2 months before this happened. I sent them to Nike and got a voucher which I will likely use to get another pair once they release again. I like them that much but hope they fixed the defect if not I will just have to send them in for a voucher again but shipping cost is on the consumer and they only cover the price you paid and sales tax with the voucher. I bought them at Finish Line and sent Nike my receipt. Finish Line will not do anything for you after 45 days.

  7. How many of you guys are going to get a pair. I still don’t know whether or not I should take a gamble on them.
