Collaborations aren’t everything, and the in-house designers at Asics know what they’re doing.
Hanon has received the entire Asics inline April ’17 collection and the silhouettes highlighted are fan-favorites: the Gel-Lyte III, Gel-Lyte V, and Gel-Sight. Traditional materials like suede and nubuck have been swapped for open mesh and no-sew builds. While monochromatic looks are still present in this collection, the designers seem to be working with a larger, more explorative color palette.
Several builds in the April ’17 collection pair neutral and dark tones with vibrant hues for more daring looks than we’re used to seeing. Notable examples are the Gel-Lyte Vs below and the Indigo Blue/Cream Gel-Sights above.
Of course, Asics laced the ladies with something special. The Women’s Gel-Lyte V in Bay features a pleasant teal upper with an incredibly vibrant red/orange that makes the branding, splatter, and laces pop.
This Asics collection launches overseas at Hanon tomorrow; hopefully, many of these pairs will arrive Stateside sometime in the coming weeks.
