No, it isn’t the 3, but the Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 does have some changes. The Fortis 2.1 features a two-piece Charged Cushioning midsole that uses a soft layer on top of a denser harder layer instead of the dual-layer midsole from the Fortis 2 that combined Charged Cushioning on top of Micro G foam. The upper has changed from a three-color knit mesh to a two-toned mesh upper, and the outsole is slightly altered, but that’s it for the changes. The Fortis 2.1 retains the same weight and offset and is in UA’s Run Strong category.
JAHRONMON reviewed the UA SpeedForm Fortis 1, which debuted at $110 (the 2 and 2.1 are both $100), and found that is more than justified its price tag — you can read that here.
The Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 is available now in two colorways — Black/Glacier Gray and Rhino Gray/White — for $100 in sizes 7 to 15 here. Interestingly, the uppers of each colorway look abit different (let me know if you think I’m seeing things) because the Black/Gralcier Gray seems to be more of an open mesh.
If you’ve tried both the Fortis 2 and Fortis 2.1, which cushioning set up do you prefer? Sound off below.
