  1. Your work is greatly appreciated! We understand a lot more effort is needed with the more detailed lists. Thanks for being a great help in our purchasing decisions!

    1. I don’t care if its full length or not. That’s a comfortable ass shoe, one I’d easily pay $140 again for. My Hyperdunks are WAYmore comfortable than my kobe 8’s that feature full length lunarlon. Just like ball don’t lie, feet don’t lie either.

      1. I hear you and that’s all that matters. What you like and works with your game is all that matters. This is NW personal list. I have my own list as should you.

      2. Well you gave your opinion that it wasn’t worth $140 and I gave my opinion that it was. You put your opinion into before I did.

        1. NJ didnt give his opinion at all lol. All he said was that the hd were 140 dollars and did not have full length lunarlon. Thats just solid facts

          1. Obviously by saying 140 for a shoe with no full length lunarlon is implying that obviously you don’t feel like the shoe is worth 140 due to the lack of such tech which in itself is an opinion. That’s just commom sense.

        2. Why are you arguing over nightwing’s own opinions? It’s HIS personal list not yours. If you don’t like his opinions than don’t even bother watching his videos.

          1. We were talking about our individual opinions not nw’s. you sound like that dude that would kiss the teachers ass back in elementary school. You gonna bring nightwing an apple??

      3. not taking sides here ayt, but i too prefer my HD’s over my Kobe 8. that’s coz my PF was relieved in the HD’s with orthotics. the combo didnt work well for me on the kb8. still two great shoes though

        1. Cause the regular lunar midsole of the Kobe 8 was never meant for orthotics, thats why there was a zoom midsole and that was the one made for orthotics.

  2. GreAt work here. Any word if there will be a mass release of the jordan xx8 se??? At this time last year there was like 20 colorways for the jordan 2012 lite ??

  3. Hey nw, may i suggest the D Howard 4 i have it and it is a great all round shoe. Keep up the great work and can’t wait for more things in the future.

  4. Hey @nightwing2303 about the xx8s can you tell me what are the factors of the “poppage”? Because I am so eager to buy the SEs or the Melos but this is swaying me away. So can you please tell me how it pops or how i can avoid it.

Because in my case I wouldn’t want to spend 150-75 bucks and have it pop early in its lifetime. Please reply it would very much be appreciated.

    1. It could be a number of things but I think its just bc its a bag placed in an awkward spot (where the foot tends to flex and where most of your weight impacts the shoe) so it can pop. Its like a balloon… you can apply a certain amount of force for a certain amount of time and then eventually itll pop.

  6. Hey NW great video!

I wish I could wear the Spawns! I played in these one time and it wasn’t wide enough for my foot. After wearing them I had a terrible blister on my arch

  7. hi nightwing, thank you for your great work, I just can’t get enough of it. 2 quick thoughts:
    – How come the APL concept 3 that you tested this year did not make it at least to the 3rd spot of your top tier podium? You seemed to enjoy them quite a bit.
    – I don’t know what set up you use to shoot your videos, but just know that if you managed to get your hands on a better mic, viewing pleasure would be greatly enhanced. It doesn’t stop me from enjoying them a lot, I just know that I would enjoy them a lot more that way!

    Thanks again!

  8. I admit XX8 series are the best shoe series so far in 2013. But they have serious durability problems about forefoot zoom air. The separated zoom air units lies in the area which is very closed to the ground , and this design makes zoom air units response more quickly. On the other hand, this design also makes zoom air unit take more stress from each action. I have heard so many people talk about the forefoot zoom air “explosion” issue from hupu china forums. The forefoot zoom air units just broke even only one gym game played. These tragedies happened in XX8, XX8 SE and superfly 2. In my opinion, these durability problems are very serious problems that XX8 design team would never considered. Are XX8 series worth buying? I do not recommand..

    1. I agree about the Zooms durability but thats actually a Nike product, not a Jordan product. It’ll be interesting to see if they keep going with the same setup or if they modify it a bit with the 2014 models.

    2. darn, I’ve heard of a few incidents, but now that you’ve mentioned this, it kind of puts me off. I didn’t know this was happening so much. I thought it might have been just a few isolated incidents. Maybe this is why Jordan brand hasn’t released these in larger quantities so far?

Being an international customer, it kind of puts me off. I’m still probably going to buy them though. If mine pop, I should still be able to ship them back to the store I bought them from shouldn’t I? They’d replace them as being defective wouldn’t they? or at least give me my money back if they didn’t have any stock of the shoe?

  9. Last week i buy the Spawn for $90 dlls + tax at finishline store, online store price is $100 + tax, i don’t understand why is more cheap on store but thx 🙂

    1. There were 3 picks for each price range. Rose 773 II is the same shoe but cheaper. I’ve said it many times so I figured everyone would be able to visually see that the CQ and Rose 773 II were the same shoe. At least I assumed they would.

  10. NW, great video!! Just curious why the Nike Hyperposites didn’t make the most expensive list?? Personally the UA Spawn is one of my favorites!!

  11. did the Superfly 2 not make it to the $120-$150 list because it is similar to the XX8 (sans the decoupled heel forefoot)? or did the spawn, rose5/cp3-7, kobe8 outclass it? thanks!

  12. Nightwing I bet my room is more chaotic than your room lol like Medea with a chainsaw went into my room while I was shoe shopping

  13. Hey Nightwing,

love your reviews! We have the same wants, needs for shoes from what i’ve seen so far…
Unfortunately there are not all the nice kicks available here in Europe and more expensive in most cases…(i paid 140€ for my CP3VII, that’s 192USD…)
Keep the good Work going and greetings from Germany!
    Andy

  14. Tore my achilles in the cp3 viis….but was ballin before i went down. Anyone else hav issues with the lows like cp3s or kobes?

  15. Great reviews, I just picked up a sweet pair of Under Armour Micro G Anatomix Spawns based on your review. I am usually a Nike/Jordan guy, but I was looking for something a bit more affordable as I go through at least two pairs a year. I play twice a week indoors. I would never have thought to consider Under Armor, but you review prompted me to go try them out. Icing on the cake – I snagged a pair for $60 shipped!. Sweet!
