The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They’re Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes

Every time I see the Jordan Super.Fly 4 I think the same exact thing: These are going to be amazing.

The super stiff upper of the Super.Fly 3 won’t be making it onto the 4th rendition of the shoe – thank goodness – but instead they’ll feature a mesh and foam based upper similar to what was used on the Jordan CP3.VIII AE. There will be reinforced sections featuring Fuse since these are intended for larger players with explosive tendencies, but overall they should be much more forgiving than the last go-around.

Remember that large volume 3-piece articulated Zoom Air unit I talked about before? Well, you can see it now and it’ll be awesome under-foot. They used something very similar in the original Air Jordan 14’s back in ’99, so if you’ve ever worn a pair then expect something like that, but amped up a bit due to their unlocked nature.

What about traction? Dude…look at it! Herringbone plus a thicker section with that sonic-wave type pattern–beastly.

No word on when they’ll release, but I’d expect late summer or fall 2015, right around the new NBA Season. In the meantime, drool a little and try to be patient. The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They're Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes 1 The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They're Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes 2 The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They're Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes 3 The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They're Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes 4 The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They're Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes 5 The Jordan Super.Fly 4 Look Like They're Going to be Amazing Hoop Shoes 6

  1. You’re going to like these, but hope they fixed that pinching on the outter region where the zoom air pad pinched the bottom of the foot, and they improved on the material in the heel w/ a upper padded overlay.

  2. Nothing with flight plate! Wow! No unlock zoom! Wow! But u right this look amazing on the court !!still no word from Jordan brand on the 30s?

  3. I don’t get it. Why Nike just don’t want to name this the Blake griffins.
    Obviously its for him.

On the side , its looks really good to play in.

    1. Cause if Blake ever/when leaves/retires they can continue the line. He is not going to be like MJ and be famous enough to continue his line. Chances are Kobe, Lebron, and maybe Durant will

      1. yeah, except blake is a legit top 10 (or higher) superstar now and just as important for his team as that other guy who has his signature shoe with jordan brand, chris paul. besides being a human highlight reel he has added stuff to his game every year, his post game is always improving and he can now hit stepback jumpers from the midrange as well as make plays for his team mates…
what does a guy have to do get a signature shoe?

  4. I won’t be surprised if the outsole on the SF4 will be ALMOST the same as the Jordan 30. That has been the trend in the previous versions of both the SF and the Jordan line. That outsole pattern right there could well be a preview of what to expect in the Jordan 30.

    1. Agree. This has been true sin e the SF2. This also looks somewhat similar to the xx8 outsole. Looking forward to how this performs, but aesthetically I could do without the shiny heal counter in the back. Hopefully the fuse will be a little softer and will beathe better.

  5. Also, it is possible that the 3-piece articulated zoom on the SF4 could be implemented in the Jordan 30 as well.

  6. i like how from the top view it looks like the way of wade 3.0, very clean lines and not too radical. i did enjoyed the width of the shoe from SF3 and wondering if these shoes will run a bit narrower just based on the pictures. the camo red colorway is cool. the bottom looks a lot like those from the CP3 and Melo10 and Jordan xx8se and of course the SF3 so i’ll be looking forward to the same kind of cushion? i have no problem with traction because i am slow, but i wonder if the rubber will last outdoor or it will have two types of rubber?

  7. I hope they are amazing on court bc they are ugggly. not a good look and wont sell at all. these are going to flop harder than Blake Griffin

  8. I have held out on the past two years of super.flys but these are a must… new zoom setup, traction looks solid, the overall shape/tooling looks just awesome. Bring em on

  9. I completely passed on the SF3 this year, both editions. But these… I definitely want. But also have to wait for them to be discounted as well retail is for suckers. I got to run a couple games in the CP3 VIII AE and the upper is damn near buttery. Any news on if they are going to go with the dual density foam in the heel?

  10. With the Jordan 30 supposed to be a step above the XX9 and the way the Superfly 4 looks one can only hope the Melo line steps thier game up…..

  11. It’s been awhile. So it looks like the Melo M12 is the standArd super fly. Will melo even get a sig next year ???? They need to switch the press push from melo to griffin

    1. Most likely the Melo 12 will be the Superfly 4 with a leather upper and maybe a slightly different midsole. The M10 was a performance beast, but the SuperFly and Jordan 30 appear to be distancing themselves. They should give melo some exclusive colorways for the 30.

  12. Any idea what the heel cushion set-up will be? I personally hope it’s a large zoom bag, but it will probably just be a foam set-up like in the 29s which is fine too.

  13. Hi there NW !
Can’t wait me neither to try them on, I’m looking for the marvin cw but right now in Europe they are already selling this one on footlocker.eu
