Team Colorways Make the Nike Hyperdunk 2015 Look Good

While the energy colorways look a little funny, the team based colorways for the upcoming Nike Hyperdunk 2015 actually make the shoe’s simplistic design look pretty good.

New information on their tech specs are available as well:

The Hyperdunk franchise has delivered lightweight, versatile performance since 2008. The Nike Hyperdunk 2015 Team Men’s Basketball Shoe continues the legacy with an even lighter, more responsive ride and a dynamic upper that feels like a high-top but performs like a low-top.

• Heel and forefoot Zoom Air units provide low-profile, responsive cushioning.
• Innovative high-top design delivers flexibility, lockdown and comfort.
• Lightweight Hyperfuse construction is durable, breathable and supportive.
• Flywire technology wraps the foot for a dynamic fit and lockdown.
• Solid rubber outsole with herringbone pattern delivers durability and traction.

While the specs state heel and forefoot Zoom, I’m still hopeful that the original specs I read stating full length Zoom still hold true. The retail on the Hyperdunk 2015 will be set at $140, might be slightly increased for ‘premium’ versions if they choose to go that route.

Overall, they look like they’ll be pretty beastly on-court. With the herringbone traction, lightweight upper, and Zoom cushion. They are definitely looking more like a continuation of the HyperRev rather than the Hyperdunk, but I’m not complaining.

  1. 2011 are my favorite hyperdunks, I burned through my pair so I’ll be glad to get a new pair of hyperdunks without lunar. Hopefully they make a back to the future cw since its 2015

    1. I still have my 2011s. They are still my favorite but I recently switched over to the ClutchFit Drive low. These don’t have the “HyperDunk” look to them to me. They look like HyperRevs.

    2. Nike need to stop with these sneakers. Need to go back to leather. Too many kids suffering from knee and foot injuries with the technology.

  2. Definitely a wild look but these should be beasts. Love that they’re back to a forefoot and heel zoom setup 🙂 outsole looks good too. Nice!

  3. Diggin these! It’s 2015 and Marty will have these in his rotation. Can’t wait for the performance review. But good looks for off court use Imo

  4. for the life of me cant figure out the reasoning behind that strange midsole configuration. cant stop looking at it every time I see the shoe. is it some sort of support structure? very, very weird looking

    1. I’m pretty sure the mid-sole is brought up to provide ‘rigger/heel-cup, -counter’ duties too. So you’re sunk into the mid-sole/footbed(usually for better court-feel, and more lateral-stability), it’s wrapping the foot(one of my favorite concepts).

Loving the return of Zoom by the way, I can’t do Lunar, but in the right conditions Zoom should work.

      1. Well if you read the past posts about this shoe on the website, NW said it’d be full length. The tech specs are conflicting. Don’t be a judgmental prick.

  5. The traction looks like a mix of the first HyperRevs and HD2013s, but I hope they aren’t too soft for outdoor use. Plannin’ to cop a pair.

  6. This shoe looks absolutely ridiculous. That midsole? Are you serious. It may be fine for on court play, but walking down the street in Bozo the clown kix is not what Im about.

    1. I am the spokesman for Bozo the Clown (awesome job btw). He says he’s offended and will be pressing charges.

In all seriousness, dat heel doe.

  7. It seems beast. I havent copped a hyperdunk pair ever. I am just starting with lunarlon kobe 8. Whats the midsole foam though phylon? Cushlon? Lunar? I am praying that the midsole wont be part of the traction surface burned my hyperrevs. Hopefully it has the right rubber for indoor/outdoor. That midsole though most likely imo it will be a make or break for a lot of people me included since from what i heard from other people that the hyperdunks usually have a solid upper and fit some models better than others. I will be waiting for a review…….

  8. That HEEL!!! dear lord….is this a ski boot or a basketball shoe?

I read — and the idea of lightweight and heel/forefoot zoom is very appealing.

But my goodness — who signed off on this look? Wearing a Ford Excursion/Hummer on my feet is not a look or feel i want anytime soon.

Give me some more hyperRev 2015’s. Leave these for Will Ferrell in Sem-Pro 2.

  9. These kicks look like the short bus dropped them off and or these are the “Peter Panyeez” the heel is lame. The selling on all the prior models was the compression lines not its just a heel bulb, the elite kancle design is cool but that’s about it. In sure they play fine but the best fitting model was the 2015 – the og hyper dunk I got suckered into was horrible so these have come a long way for sure.

  10. I’m wondering if this shoe has the court feel like the curry ones or the clutchfit drives that I have. I like to feel the court when I play so if this shoe allows
    That I would
    Cop
