Another image of the upcoming Nike Kyrie 2 has leaked online and this time we get a good look at their traction.
The Kyrie 1 featured herringbone – which was pretty awesome – but Nike plans on switching things up come Irving’s 2nd signature release. It looks as if there is a multi-directional pattern along with a giant pivot point. While all we can do at the moment is speculate, from looking at it I’d say the pattern seems really promising. I’m loving the ankle collar area as it looks soft and flexible but should lock you into the shoe – especially with the strap in place. The tooling reminds me a bit of the original Hyperfuse while the upper looks just like the ANTA shoes that everyone bashed on, but you know everyone will say these are fire…you know, because there’s a Swoosh.

Fuse again? and the cushioning looks equally uninspiring, seems to be another phylon + barely bouncy zoom unit.
Because it is supposed to be the budget friendly sig of nike since the KD line became expensive
There are affordable shoes that look better than this pair. Nike has no excuses as to why they’re slacking off.
I really liked the setup of the one, I used to play in it way more than my 29’s even its a guards shoe, its not ment to have alot of cushioning, I wouldn’t like it if it did

Nike, whoever came up with the idea to place the swoosh anywhere else than on both sides of the shoe( where it always has been in the good old days):fire him/ her! I was so glad that the kyrie I had the swoosh at the right spot in the right size and now that….but maybe i am just too old (fashioned).
The traction pattern looks awesome. I hope it will perform that way.

So the Kyrie line is just a series of dolled-up Hyperfuses? Extrmely similar midsole and upper to last year’s Hyperfuse, which was actually a better shoe than the first Kyrie.
The outsole looks interesting, I will give them that. Multi-directional traction and able to stand up to outdoor use from the looks of it. Underwhelming though, I was really hoping for the shoe to be a little more advanced.
If retail is for $130, I would expect more cushion is implemented.
Traction does look promising but it will depend on how pliable it is if it can be used outdoor.
Have wait on tech specs.
At this price range, getting Curry 2 should be what people should get.

Perhaps the people who are running Nike hoops are geniuses, but if they have been trying to lose me as a customer intentionally, then they have been spot on for the last several years. Outside of a retro here and there, nothing they’ve made has made me want to run out and try it since the LBJ III and Kobe VI. My experience in the latter made me promise to never fall for the hype, ever again.

Nike is a rip off.
I also personally think the Anta ones looked good. They looked like textile with a rubber layer on top, and these loov like a woven with fuse.
But what do I know. Also, a pivot in the middle seems to do nothing.
the only reason i would get these is if they perform better than last year which it doesn’t really look any better. Style of last years is cooler also.

I really liked the 1’s, as much for casual in Spring Summer as for ball for a few runs before lack of cushion caught up.
