Strap In With Another Look at the adidas D Rose 773 IV

A seemingly new technology appears on the next Derrick Rose team shoe, the adidas D Rose 773 IV, seen below in three colorways.

That tech name appears above the midsole, which apparently is called Bounce. Before Boost, the go-to energy return cushioning system for the three stripes was also Bounce, so I’m wondering if there’s any correlation between the two. The older cushion, Bounce, looks nothing like the tech seen on the D Rose 773 IV though, looking more like adidas’ version of Shox back in the day.

Adding to the confusion is the fact that Li-Ning also has a cushioning system called “Bounse.”

Enjoy the pictures below of the adidas D Rose 773 IV in three colorways and let us know what you think this Bounce technology will feel like in the comments below.

  1. I should like the Black and Red the most but for some reason I keep going back to the middle white/black/clear blue.

  2. I had a few runners with bounce before and it they were comfy daily shoes. Curious as to why these have bounce written on the midsole and how they will perform on court.

  3. That white colorway is straight fire!!! I feel like Bounce will be the low-end version of Boost. A little better than Adiprene+ but not as a good as Boost.

  4. Would these 773 iv be true to size or 1/2 large. Rose 5 and the 773 iii were both 1/2 size large to me.

  5. Well good I guess I’m not the only one that wants the white/middle pic lol. To get to the topic, I hope it feels like UA’s Charged. I’d say I want it to be Micro G but that’s asking for a lot.

  6. The bounce cushion is a foam set up. It kinda feels like like encased boost. Almost like micro g. I know that’s a bold statement but these feel pretty good. A lot better then Eva foam. I wouldn’t play outdoors with these cause the traction is pretty thin and will wear down quickly but indoors they’re great.

  7. They are also true to size. Lockdown is pretty solid and the shoe itself has decent padding in the interior lining. I would say ventilation isn’t that great but I’m happy with what Adidas put out this time around for the 773. Past models have been disappointing. obviously these aren’t prime knit. It’s like a thinner synthetic than the rose 4. If that helps at all.

  8. By the way nightwing posted these a while back with a link to an eBay seller who is a legit seller of this shoe. Id4shoes I believe is the username. Shipping actually ok from where he’s located and the shoes come in really fast. At least they did for me and I’m from Guam.

  9. The black and white is straight fire! adidas coming up big for the nest season so far. Got my hans on the CLB 2015 today. Those things are amazing!

  10. It’s just like the crazylight boost 2015. Real thin but bounce does the job of supplying impact protection and responsiveness well. I will say that these stand taller than previous models but they still give you good court feel. You could add an insert but imo it’s fine the way it is.

  11. So is this Bounce midsole cushioning a new updated tech from Adidas or is it the same as what they used in older model shoes from a few years ago?
