The guys over at Everything is Rubbish have done something truly awesome: In an effort to express just how much waste consumerism creates, they have constructed a Janowski-esque shoe entirely from garbage they found on a beach! Charles Duffy, William Gubbins, and Billy Turvey are artists in the U.K. with a message. So why construct shoes you may ask? Here it is from the guys, “The first of our clothing to show signs of damage is footwear. In the eyes of the consumer, a superficial blemish or a shift in the latest trend is all that’s needed to warrant a new purchase.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. They further explain that contemporary footwear spends only a fraction of its life on someone’s foot. The majority of a shoe’s life is spent in a landfill or washed up on shore.
Everything is Rubbish is a necessary project to show us just how much of our waste ends up in oceans and landfills. For the readers of this site, shoes are a huge part of that waste. Check out the video below and head over to everythingisrubbish.co.uk for more information. And of course, let us know what you think of this project in the comments below.

Those are awesome looking. Are these going to be sold?
No they won’t be, to strengthen the message of Everything is Rubbish. They are also not wearable—they’re made of thick plastic that is solid once cooled. But it’s a great project.
Hypebeasts will find a way to wear ’em lol.
