Scavenger Hunt for Gold Curry 3ZER0s Ends with Surprise Curry Appearance

Yesterday, Under Armour, Foot Locker, and reigning MVP Stephen Curry hosted a scavenger hunt across New York. Fans braved the cold to win one of thirty pairs of the limited edition gold colorway of the Curry 3ZER0.

Clues, revealed on Twitter, sent fans racing through Brooklyn, Chelsea, or the West Village to be the first ten people to arrive at each location. The thirty winners ended the hunt at the 34th St Foot Locker to pick up their pairs.

After copping their pairs, fans were surprised by the unanimous MVP at Foot Lcoker’s NYC 33 space. Curry congratulated the participants for their hustle and met with each winner to take photos and sign the Curry 3ZER0s.

According to Under Armour, this limited edition gold Curry 3ZER0 will never be available at retail. However, as the Warriors head into another Playoff run, Curry’s latest signature will release May 1 at Foot Locker and select retailers nationwide.

Thoughts on the Curry 3ZER0 so far? We can’t wait to test it.

  1. This is pretty cool! I envisioned greedy resellers and hypebeasts getting the jump on everyone for this but it looks like some younger kids got an opportunity to participate so that’s awesome, they are the ones that this would really be kinda magical to! Plus, they might actually keep these shoes and cherish them.

  2. A cool event for people in it as Curry fans. Hope they enjoy their shoes as fans, but so much minding what potential monetary value they hold. Not to be a pooper, but collecting UA shoes as UA shoes hasn’t really become a thing. I’d think a lot of people see right through this attempt at a limited release.

  3. I think its interesting that people still feel the need to hate on UA shoes. It’s a performance basketball shoe. Just because it may not be visually appealing to certain people, doesn’t mean it’s not a solid shoe.
