Official Images of the Nike Hyperdunk 17 TB

Nike Hyperdunk 17 TB - Black - Full

You all knew it was only a matter of time until images of the Nike Hyperdunk 17 TB surfaced. This particular model utilizes an engineered woven jacquard upper rather than the Flyknit version currently seen on feet of Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

There are some similarities to all the previous Hyperdunk versions in regards to the shape and the TPU heel counter, as well as the Swoosh placement. Most importantly, it’s how strategically everything was constructed.

The outsole looks anatomically engineered, and we are all anxious to see how this new React cushion setup will perform, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The Nike Hyperdunk 2017 TB (high) will release on August 1 (as early as July overseas) and retail for $140.

What do you think of the model? Is the Hyperdunk series a go-to shoe for you on-court? Let us know.

  1. I’m gonna need a pair, still a little worried about React/Lunar 3.0, but that contoured sole is probably the best Naturalist/Barefoot sole Nike ever did.

  2. Gotta wait and see what’s up with the latest react/lunar cushioning set up. If it’s more like Micro G or Boost without quickly bottoming out, then I will try a pair out. If not, I will play in other shoes instead.

  3. The HyperDunk 16 became my absolute go-to shoe after breaking it in (took almost 4 weeks). To be honest, to me it is hard to understand why Nike did away with the cushioning setup of the 16s. Unless React is absolutely outstanding this would be unbelievably stupid, in my opinion.

    1. Exactly. I hope that the 2016 cushion is found on some of the models this year but something in me doubts it. They will probably use this React cushion and then forefoot only rectangles.

  4. White pair looks beautiful. IF they did the traction and the cushioning right, its gonna be great. Hopefully Nike has been doing some actual innovation with this new React cushioning, but until I see a review I’m still skeptical

  5. Looks a lot better without that dumbass ankle sock, and it ain’t 200 bucks. As others have said, this react cushioning better bring it, because if you are going to go away from the nice zoom setup from last year this has better be a huge improvement from lunarlon, in both durability and impact protection.

  6. that heel plate with the ‘nike’ branding looks kind of tacky, though the shoe doesn’t look anywhere near as odd as the flyknit ones (which remind me of those horrible air force one jewels from a few years ago)…other than that, it looks like it’s gonna be a decent shoe, the black and white ones suit me just fine
