Nike Zoom Kobe VIII (8) – Purple/ Blue

Nike-Zoom-Kobe-VIII-(8)-Purple-Blue-1

The more I see them the more I love them… I just hope they play well.

Engineered mesh is featured along the entire upper and that is the main attribute that intrigues me. Will it be able to hold the foot in place properly? Is the mesh reinforced enough and how long will it last after taking an on-court beating with feet stepping all over them?

I don’t know about you but I cant wait to find out.

  1. Traction looks to be awesom, love herringbone!! hey wat do u make out of the signs across the forefoot of the shoe thats on the outrigger or midsole???

  2. Any one who has ever played in mesh trainers including me will tell you they just can’t keep up with your side to side movements and thus your chance for breaking your goes ankle way up. And the kobe VIII looks scary to me cus it looks just like those mesh trainers I have.

  3. Can’t wait until you get to review these. Curious about the engineered mesh on how they would perform on a basketball shoe.

  4. looks like free runners to me. wonder what the cushion really is. looks comfy but again, support would be the biggest question here.

      1. also, I believe you are not aware of the Free Runners mesh design. you might want to take a look at them. I do wear runners, that’s why I said it looks like the free runners rather than trainers which have a different look and materials.

  5. They are looking good for a low top with herringbone traction, promising heel counter, carbon fiber shank and especially that inward 5th eyelets. That would help lockdown just by looking at these.
But I don’t see any flex grooves on these, unlike many recent Nikes. I guess some break in period will be needed.

  6. I think these won’t rip along the midsole ’cause I see Hyperfuse in there, I don’t know the rest. Correct me if I’m wrong.

  7. it’s interesting to see a change for the materials of the upper, especially if it truly is EM used for it. remember the nike jet flight? the thing i’m concerned with kobeVIII’s would be the lockdown compared to the nike jet flight which has a tpu cage + strap on the midfoot.
