Nike Zoom KD V (5) – First Look

Nike-Zoom-KD-V-5-First-Look-1

The Nike Zoom KD IV is by far Durant’s most popular – hyped – model to date but it looks as if the Zoom KD V will mix a bit of the 1 & 2 with the lower profile 3 & 4.

Bringing the ankle collar back up to mid range level and keeping Fuse along the upper, the KD V brings in a bit of everything we’ve previously seen with each model with the exception of the external heel counter and heel Air unit. They actually look closer to a Hyperfuse or team model than anything else but this is just a catalog image so actual images could show a bit more detail once they surface.

One last difference between the KD V and his previous models is the retail price… these are said to be set at $99.99 $115 which is pushing that ‘affordable for everyone’ threshold.

Any first thoughts on the Nike Zoom KD V?

I’m not feeling them. I liked the low top design way more, im kind of sad they got rid of it. Looks like the hyperfuse 2012

Starts to fallow the design of other shoes, looks like a hyperfuse or hyperdunk, i would prefer a hyperdunk though, im in the market for my annual pair of sneakers and i dont think theese will be them, unless they preform like a beast!

not too iconic for a signature but still nice with that simple style unless they release some loud colorways which make the shoe look even better like the kd 1s are pretty nice

i hope it doesnt preform like the hyperfuse or the hyperenforcer because of how it looks it seems like it will.

possibly some different colorways might be able give the shoe a very nice look like with the kd 4

looks like the 1st hyperdunk + 1st hyperfuse mixed together. too bad they increased the price and making them less “affordable.”

i guess nike will be milking KD reaching the finals.

Please don’t let this be the KD5.. Please don’t let this be the KD5.. I was so impressed and happy with my KD4’s, seeing this just makes me wanna slap Leo Chang or whoever it is designing this shoe. If it is Leo, I know he can do wayy better.. Kevin Durant definitely deserves a better looking shoe than this
