Nike Unveils Robert Glasper Jazz Film Celebrating Kobe Bryant’s Career

The current NBA season is closing in on the halfway mark and that only means one thing, Kobe Bryant’s career is almost at an end.

“Be Courageous,” composed by two-time Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Robert Glasper, celebrates the full breadth of Kobe Bryant’s 20-year career, encapsulating its struggles and soaring high points. The above film explores the Robert Glasper Trio’s creative process and inspiration for the song. – Nike Inc.

While I’m not a Kobe Bryant fan, I respect the hell out of his on-court achievements and will miss his presence in the league. The era that I grew up watching is almost at an end. Kobe is one of the last ones left, and it’s sad to see him go.

  1. I have 4 favorite moments.

    1. The year dwight and Nash was giving him nothing and he carried the team to the playoffs…
    2. Isn’t a moment but every time he plays Toronto he manages to absolutely destroy them.
3.the Portland 65 point game where he was hitting everything he threw at the rim in a stretch of 50 plus point games
    4. Out scoring Dallas himself in 3 qtrs

    1. I had a nice reply for what I enjoyed about Kobe’s career, do not know where it went, of which were low lights but my favorites nonetheless of the all time leader in missed shots.

Chris Childs, Chris Childs, Chris Childs . . . .LOL!

  2. It’s beginning to be a bit much with the Kobe retirement.

Still hope this is better than that Spike Lee travesty Doin Work a few years back.

    1. or that Spike Lee travesty in NBA 2K.

I have no problem with the Kobe farewell tour. He kinda came in the same way: high school hype and music videos, and such. If social media was at this level in the 90’s, Jordan would’ve gotten the same treatment without a doubt.

      I don’t what I’m gonna do with my life post-Kobe. =[
