The Nike Prime Hype DF 2016 Deconstructed

If you love deconstructions then you already know that fastpass was going to chop the Nike Prime Hype DF 2016 eventually. This time has come, so let’s see if there’s anything interesting to see with a dual fusion setup.

The Nike Prime Hype DF 2016 is a lower-tier Nike Basketball offering that retails for $90 Stateside but can be found lots of places for less — and it will be at outlets soon for a steeper discount. The first two Prime Hype models were nearly identical but the 2016 iteration has been completely redesigned. The only thing that remains is the Dual Fusion cushion setup that utilizes dual density Phylon. You can watch Nightwing’s detailed look and review of the shoe below.

Nike says that the main attributes of the Prime Hype DF 2016 are support and targeted response. According to Nike, it features a lightweight mesh and textile upper with a dynamic high-top collar, Flywire cables for lockdown and support, and a rubber outsole. The shoe does not use Zoom Air or Lunarlon, but does have a small shank to aid with torsional rigidity.

You can pick up a pair of the Nike Prime Hype DF 2016 here for $90 in five colorways.

    1. Fells similar to nothing to me. It’s like having no cushion at all. It’s firm, full responsiveness. Or at least this is the feeling I have in my Prime Hype DF

  1. I always appreciate these deconstructions. But somehow I would wish that the images would not only contain the “deconstructed” shoe, but also show the process of the actual ripping, tearing, DECONSTRUCTING of the shoe itself.
