The New Nike PG1 ‘Black Ice’ Has a Release Date

I said it before and I’ll say it again, the Nike PG1 is super fun to play in. This time, Swoosh hits us over the head with a very simple yet clean colorway: Black Ice.

Here at WearTesters we have been quite impressed with the shoe, especially sans our performance reviews by Nightwing2303, Stanley T, and Jahronmon.

The shoe features an all-black upper, a soft Phylon midsole that is all white from heel to midfoot with an oreo speckle at the forefootsome. The PG1 uses a midfoot strap for proper lockdown and a translucent rubber outsole. The black nubuck from heel to the mesh midfoot gives the shoe a nice transition in materials (our favorite aspect of the shoe).

The shoe is set to release on April 14 with a reasonable price tag of $110 at all available Nike retailers and on Nike.com.

Do you already own the PG1? Are you hoping for more colorways? Do you plan on copping these? Sound off down in the comments below.

  1. I got the first three pairs that came out (Shine, Bait, and Summer Pack) and I really like them. I am going to hold off on these because they are too similar to the Shine (besides the iridescent)

  2. these and the harden v1’s, looks like you can’t go wrong with any color combination on those. but, but to name a colorway with the same name of a different shoe? (UA Black Ice)
