Nike Magista to Launch on NikeID

Nike Magista to Launch on NikeID

After spending 4 years in the Nike R&D Labs, the Nike Magista will be available for preorder on NikeID on April 29th. Nike recently unveiled the Magista and its fully flyknit upper to stand as direct competition to Adidas Group’s recent innovations, seen here. The Magista pushes the boundaries of fit and comfort for soccer cleats and helps enhance the control player’s closeness and feel on the soccer ball. The Magista is the first boot to feature an ankle high collar that is meant to connect the foot, ankle, and lower leg to enhance the feel on the ball and the players ability to naturally move through the gait cycle.

This new cleat will feature conical studs on the outer edges to allow for 360 degree pivoting and also feature a new Nylon sole plate material to allow better flex and transition off the forefoot. Furthermore, the entire upper will include less than a millimeter of water and cold proofing film to help protect the player’s foot from the elements. The Nike Magista is a revolutionary new concept and it is now just one week away from consumer wide pre-ordering. The field tests have been positive and professional players have enjoyed their time in them, but only the general public will decide if the technology is a success. They will retail at $275, let us know below if you will be one of many to pick these up!

  1. I’m glad you like them, we are trying to branch beyond the court with the new site name and purpose. Keep reading and commenting and we’ll keep posting! Perhaps someday we will be able to do some performance reviews of soccer cleats as well. But we won’t get ahead of ourselves.

  2. Hi i really like the soccer post~ I’m a soccer player in Hk and any info about this pair of shoes will release the hard version ? thx!

      1. Keep an eye out for posts about AG, turf and HG versions of the Magista. I will be keeping track of all the news regarding it and sharing it on the site. In regards to an HG version, all I can offer is that the conical studs on the Magista give the soleplate versatility on hard and soft ground. Furthermore, the studs look relatively short so one should have no trouble playing in these on HG.

I’m glad you are enjoying the soccer posts. We enjoy your comments!
